Edward was walking in the forest, the part that his family owned. When he was on that side, he didn't have to worry about covering up in the sun. Only his family and Bella dared cross over to this side. Just thinking of Bella brought a smile to his lips, a genuine one. He had a smile for the girls that were attached to him, one for his family, and one for Bella. All different, and the only one that was true was the one that he gave to his love. The sparkling figure continued his walk, thinking of how the wedding was approaching fast. Not to mention that as their wedding day neared, so did the day that he would turn Bella into one of them: A Vampire.
But pushing that thought aside for the moment, he glanced up at the sky. It looked like rain, but the sun was still shining a little bit. He had asked Bella to meet him here today because of the nice weather. Hopefully that wouldn't be ruined by a little rain. Edward and Bella had been spending a lot of time together, much to some of his family's disappointment. They were growing accustome to having Bella around though, so that was good. He sat on a rock, waiting for his love to show.

Parking her monster of a truck along the edge of the over-growth, Bella sat in her truck for a moment and simply stared at it. There was a certain amount of intimidation that came along with the sight of the ancient trees and their roots. Sighing, she figured that it would be best just to get this over with and hope not to injure herself too badly.
Opening the driver's side door, Bella stumbled down and slammed it shut. Hopefully Edward wasn't too far in. As if Bella wasn't embarassed enough by her lack-of-grace, tripping through the forest to find him and ending up getting lost in the process was simply humiliating.
And so she entered, managing along the way to trip over 4 roots, 5 twigs, a rock and her own shoe laces before finally making it to Edward relatively unscathed. Bella did, however, get a small cut on her hand to which she immediately gagged and wiped against a leaf. Hopefully it wouldn't make things too hard for Edward...
He sat on a rock, looking statuesque as ever. It was a shock to see him like that, and even more so as the clouds parted momentarily sending him into a burst of diamond-like shimmers. They reflected off of everything and Bella had to catch her breath, Edward was so amazingly beautiful that it hardly seemed fair. Regaining what little composure she had, a smile spread across Bella's features and she sighed heavily, walking over. "Hi..." the human greeted breathlessly, still a bit dazed.

Watching the clouds, Edward knew he was sparkling all over. But it didn't take much for his attention to be captured by the roar of Bella's monsterous truck. A smile grazed his lips and stuck in an upward curl. With his intensified hearing, he had no problem hearing it approach and her get out of the car. Not to mention her tripping and stumbling to get to him. But pretending not to hear her, he turned back to the clouds. Her being so clutsy was one of the many things he loved about her.
He turned as he heard a familiar voice and saw that Bella was standing beside him. He grinned as he was at her side, wrapping his arms around her waist. He took in her scent as he closed his eyes, and the velvet voice whispered "Hey beautiful."
(Short..I know..but DH is on!)

Sighing in contentment, Bella allowed herself to be absorbed in Edward's own scent, just as he seemed to take in hers. His was sweet and completely irresistible, though she knew that it was nothing compared to what her own scent was to him. Yes, his arms were bitterly cold as usual but she was growing accustomed to it, by now feeling that cold was a comfort. Bella was safe with Edward once again, and it seemed like nothing else could possibly matter.
Laying her head gently against his shoulder, Bella continued to smile and looked up at his flawlessly crystallized face. This was exactly where she was supposed to be at that moment. She could feel it somehow. "How are you today?" Bella questioned, still admiring him with awe. There really was no way that someone so amazing could be 'hers' in a manner of speaking.

Edward waited for her to relax, afraid that she would reject him. He knew he was just being paranoid though, because he knew that once his arms were around her, her wall would collapse and let him in. He smiled, brushing his icy lips against her soft, warm skin. His smile curled around his lips as he did so. His tongue slid across his venemous teeth, his eyes still dark from not going hunting. As he took in her scent, his eyes went a shade darker. He imagined his teeth sinking into her neck, tasting the sweet blood. He pulled back slightly, trying to regain control of himself. He would resist the temptation, until they were married and it was time. Even then he wouldn't like it, but he had made a promise.
He smiled again, but didn't move an inch. He stood as stiff as a statue, but responded. "Better now that I'm with you. I was just laying around, thinking. But now that you're here, I'm enjoying myself and your company love," the velvet voice tempted. He knew his was still sparkling furiously, but he didn't mind. The one he loved was with him, and he could tease her a little bit. The button down shirt that was completely closed was open in a matter of seconds, a few buttons anyway. His chest showed through, sparkling in the sun.

Though Bella knew that she should be petrified at the moment, she wasn't. Not even close. If anything, she felt more comfortable than ever before, even when Edward tensed slightly and pulled away. It was always a sign that he was trying to control that unforgivable 'monster' that was hidden within himself.
Again, it was rare that Bella was given the chance to witness Edward's true beauty. The Edward that she was seeing now. And because this was one of those occasions, the human stared shamelessly, even as his shirt was undone slightly. Beneath, that flawlessly sculpted body of his was visible. It made Bella have a hit on her own self esteem and again, she began to feel incredibly human.
"What were you thinking about?" she questioned with a small smile and shuffled her feet slightly.

When Edward had control of himself again, he pulled Bella to him once more. He smiled his half smile, with his lips curled upward. He was a little upset stillt hat he couldn't read her thoughts, but it wasn't a pressing issue. He had gotten used to not being able to, sometimes for the best. But he still wished he was able to. But he turned his thoughts back to his captured love, who he could tell was enjoying himself in the sunlight. He would do it for her more often if people weren't around, but that was a rare occassion. Especially with the wedding coming up. There was always someone around.
But there was one thing that Edward could see her thinkign without actually reading her mind. He saw that everytime Bella looked at one of hsi brother's or sister's skin, her self esteem lowered. To make her feel better, he said, "Don't worry love, your will be like this soon enough." He wasn't sure if that was the right thing to say at the moment, but it was a fifty fifty shot. He heard her question and the smile he had for her apeared on his face. "Of course I was thinking about you love," he said as his lips brushed her cheek.

Edwards lips left an icy trail on Bella's cheek, much like someone running a dry ice cube across it. The feeling remained for a little while after he had moved away. The smile was still in place, and maybe even grew a tiny bit as Edward mentioned that 'yours will be like this soon enough'. Bella knew instantly what he was referring to, causing her to wonder yet again if he could, in fact, read her thoughts.
The humans wide brow eyes finally tore themselves away from Edward to look over the grass-and-leaf covered ground. It was nice to be spending time with someone who wasn't immediately going to jump into the topic of 'weddings'. Edward knew how Bella was feeling about the whole situation, she wasn't looking forward to it. Nor was Charlie. In fact, he had even discontinued conversation with Bella so long as she and Edward kept their engagement plans. Charlie felt that Bella was making a mistake, the same one that he had made with Renee. Getting married right out of high school was a touchy subject in the family and Charlie wasn't hiding his distaste for the idea.
Perhaps that was one of the reasons that Bella was so opposed to this entire idea. Finally, she spoke so as to not keep Edward endlessly wondering what was on her mind. "I've been doing some thinking too..." Bella commented with unnecessary caution.

Edward looked at her and smiled. "What have you been thinking about Bella?" he asked, charmingly. He could be a gentlemen, as he often was. And since he couldn't hear her thoughts, he liked to get to know what she was thinking by making conversation and trying to get inside her head. It was the ONLY way he could get inside her head. He was genuinly curious, and he noticed that the smile grew a little bit as he mentioned her being changed. He knew that was what she truely wanted, so they could be together forever. Literally.
He held her close, noticing she diverted her eyes away from his. He cocked his head to the side, trying to read her expression, not sure of what it ment. That happened from time to time, and it bothered him somewhat. He didn't miss the caution in her voice, which made him think the worst. That she was calling off the wedding and breaking it off with him, for Jacob Black. He was probably worrying a bit too much, but he knew that deep down, she still had a little bit of feelings for werewolf. And when she used caution like that, it always made him wonder if he was going to loose the one girl that he truely loved.

What she was thinking about wasn't bad, so Bella wondered what exactly had her so unwilling to tell or ask about what had been on her mind the past couple of days. Looking back to the Vampire, she smiled. "Maybe," Bella began, "maybe do you want to get away before the wedding? Like... just go away for a couple of days, the two of us. I think it would be really good for both of us to forget some of the more stressful aspects about everything."
It was surprisingly difficult for Bella to ask this. The reason why didn't make much sense to her, but the human had a feeling that it had something to do with her subconscious.

Edward braced himself for what was about to come. He didn't know what to expect, so he was expecting the worst. But he just about died after she asked him. "That's it? That's what you wanted to ask me?" he asked, bursting out into a fit of laughter. This didn't usually happen, but he had been in a good mood these past few weeks. Once he finally calmed hismelf, a smile was still left on his face. Her smile. "I think that would be a great idea Bells," he said as he looked at her. He didn't know why, he just knew this had to be hard for her for some reason. "When did you want to go? And did you have anywhere in particular in mind love?" he asked, his arms entangled around her.
He knew that he would have to go hunting before this trip, that was for certain. He wouldn't want to loose control and hurt her, or turn her too early. He knew that he might have to hunt wherever they went, but he could do that without anyone noticing. It wasn't like he was drinking human blood. He would let her pick the location, mostly because she wanted to get away, and he wanted her to relax before the wedding came.

Watching Edward laugh at that moment was probably the most perfect thing Bella had ever seen. Even through fits of laughter, his voice was like a symphony. It made Bella laugh slightly herself. That kind of reaction from Edward told her that he was expecting the worse from her simply suggestion. She hadn't meant to alarm him.
And then came the smile. Bella's heart seemed to melt as that amazingly crooked smile pirched itself on his lips. "I was thinking soon," her voice was a few octives higher than normal, "and I don't really want to go anywhere far, just away from Forks. Some place simple like Seattle would be nice..." Bella hoped that would be sufficiant enough.
