Leah strolled though the town of Seattle and turned down the familiar and not too crowded streets. To her left she noticed a bookstore that she hadn't been in before. With some curiosity, she went in and began to scan the shelves with mild interest.
Reading was something Leah liked to do to get away. But it never took her long, she was what one would call a speed-reader. Leah ran a hand along the shelves, glancing at each title as she went. Whoever was supposed to be at the counted must have been in the back because Leah was alone. Behind her, the tiny bell above the door of the store rang announcing the arrival of a new costumer.

At first, Bella hadn't noticed the strikingly familiar face just infront of her. She had been looking for some new books for awhile now because, quite frankly, reading 'Wuthering Heights' 11 times in a row was just a bit exsessive. So, as soon as Bella's wide, brown eyes found their way over to this secluded book store, excitment rose in the pit of her stomach.
Walking to a small display with an assortment of books, Bella sighed in content and picked one up. It had a particularly beautiful design on the cover that seemed to spark an interest in her. 'I guess advertising does work...' The human laughed to herself and brought her gaze up, in search of the person behind the counter. Instead, who she saw was a bit of a shock.
It was Leah Clearwater, daughter of Harry Clearwater and known member of the Quileute Wolf Pack. Bella's breath caught and she contemplated turning back around and leaving the store.

Leah stopped at a random book with spirals on the spine and pulled it out. The title was Sweet Far Thing, it looked interesting enough. Flipping to the inner cover of the hardback novel, Leah realized that the book was the third of a trilogy. With a quite sigh she moved to put it back in its place.
Moving too hastily, she dropped the book. It hit the floor with a soft thud. Leah quickly bent down to fix the bending pages. While standing again she looked around to see if anyone had seen her do that. There was one girl there, one girl whom Leah recolonized instantly. Her face was always running though Leah's mind when Jacob was thinking about her. It was Bella.
Leah placed the book back on the shelf and turned to face Bella fully, taking a long stride toward her. "Hey there... Bella." She wasn't sure how Bella would respond. It was somewhat awkward.

Cursing inwardly, Bella looked at Leah and forced a smile on her face. Hopefully this wasn't going to be too painful, Bella had never actually spoken to her before, and wasn't sure of her feelings toward her based on Jake's storied. As soon as the human thought that name, a twinge of pain hit her, as if being stabbed, directly in the stomach.
"Hi Leah," Bella replied taking a sharp breath in and placing the book back down on the table, "how are you doing?" A thought struck, and she wondered whether the Werewolf infront of her would be able to smell the Vampire scent that Bella seemed to carry with her everywhere. Hopefully the girl wouldn't hold it against her.

Leah forced out a smile. Bella was the reason for the additional misery that seemed to engulf the packs moods at times. With Jacob's fret over her it was impossible for her and the others not to notice it.
The sickly sweet scent of vampire leaked off the girl and Leah couldn't hide the grimace that was her face. The scent filled Leah's nose and it was incredibly strong, almost as bad as standing in the same room as an actual leech... almost. She reeks of vampire...
"I'm..." Leah wasn't sure how to answer, she wasn't really fine. She hadn't been for a while, but everyone just passes it off as bitterness. "...fine." She said anyways. "How are you and..." She stopped, it felt all too weird. "...him?" She finished, not that she cared. The look on her face was already twisted from the smell, so she hoped that Bella didn't notice that it deepened when she talked about him.
