Emily Young stood near the flames of the stove top. Large pots were on top of the flames that had about 3 gallons of chili in each pot. She was expecting all of Sam's pack to come over for dinner tonight and she wanted to be prepared. It wasn't every day she needed enough food for a small army. She took a wooden spoon out of her assortment of cooking utensils and stirred each one.
The wolf girl, as she was so frequently called, liked to have his pack around. They were as close to her as family. Leah, he actual cousin was family and part of the pack. Emily felt that Leah had never really forgiven her for taking Sam away from her. But as always, Emily was civil towards her cousin.

Sabrina walked up the front steps of the house and knocked a few times before opening the door and stepping in. "Hello?" She called, even though she knew someone was already there. Emily was having the pack over for dinner tonight, and Sabrina, who really had nothing better to do for once, decided to come a bit early.
She followed the smells coming from the kitchen and saw Emily, working hard. "Hey Emily." she greeted with a smile, "Smells awesome, How've you been?"

Emily turned around to see who had come through the back door. A smile formed on her almost perfect face, it was Sabrina.
"Hey there." she said warmly. Emily wasn't expecting anyone so soon, but it was a pleasant surprise. "I'm good. Nice to see that you're not too busy for us." Emily said with a light tone.

Leah stepped onto the porch of the Uley residence, with a sour look upon her face. Emily was cooking dinner for everybody and, honestly, Leah was slightly surprised she was even invited. She was fully aware at how snotty she was and her bitter attitude was not pleasant, especially when all of the pack and wolf girl, Emily was fully aware of it.
But Emily was Leah’s cousin, and she wanted to be nicer, but just never held back with the attitude. She sighed softly and then walked in without knocking, She didn’t think that Emily would care.
Inside, she spotted Emily of course, but there was only one other person there. Sabrina McKinney. Leah put one hand in the back pocket of her jeans. Was I early? “Hey.” She said, with a small nod of the head. Her dark hair fell around her face. The aroma of food did smell good and Leah wanted to complement but kept her mouth shut at the moment.

Emily snapped her head around to the sound of her cousin's voice. She was caught off guard that Leah was here with out the social buffer of the rest of the pack. It was only Sabrina to keep them civil. She smiled genuinely at her cousin, but she didn't want to.
"Hey." she said with a short tone. Emily was just as bitter to her cousin as Leah was towards her. It didn't have to be like that, but thats how it turned out.

Angel could smell Emily's cooking when she got on the steps of the house. She knocked twice, and then cracked the door, and said, "Hey its me. Sorry I'm early I had nothing else on the agenda." She said walking in. It always smells good in Emily's house. She could always count on Emily for a nice meal.
She noticed that Leah, and Sabrina were here. "Hey girls, what up?" She asked. She knew Leah probley wouldn't talk to her, but knew Sabraina would. "Emily it smells great! When are the guys gonna be here?" She asked sitting in the coach.

Leah bit her lower lip with nerve, insults sprung into her mind out of habit. She didn't want to ruin the evening from the start. Everyone just expects her to be rude and bitter, and she was sick of it. But that only made her even more easily agitated.
From behind her a new voice sounded. Another female wolf, Angel. I see the boys are taking their sweet time. She thought. "Hey Angel." She gave a small nod. "I see we're not the only ones whom were early." She tilted her head, gesturing toward Sabrina. If it was ever a time to be civil, why not now?
Leah took a deep breath and decided that, for at least one day, or evening, whatever, she was going to be Nice.

Angel looked as Leah talked to her. "Yes I see that now." She said. She had never really hated anyone, but knew that Leah, an dEmily didn't like each other much. She didn't want anything bad to happen tonight. "I didn't think you would come tonight Leah. I would have thought you would have been to busy." She said not trying to sound rude.
ANgel went and sat down. She patted the set next to her, motioning Leah to come sit. "How have you been Leah? You seem a little tense." Angel said putting her hair in a ponytail. She never really had her hair up, but it was hot outside. THats why she was also wearing a black tank top, and Dasiy Duke shorts with flip-flops.

Leah didn't know how to respond to Angels comment. She herself was somewhat surprised that she wasn't as reluctant to go as she normally was. "Well... guess I wasn't" She shrugged, speaking in an empty tone.
Leah looked as she Angel sat down and moved to go sit along with her. She looked back at her cousin and gave a small, forced smile, but tried to make it look as real as it could be. She nodded as a gesture for her to join her on the couch. Then she looked at Sabrina and did the same. It was gonna be a long night.
"Me? I'm fine."She leaned back and watched Angel put her hair up. She turned her head to Emily. "So whats... uh, on the menu?" She questioned.

Emily smiled a toothy grin as Angel plopped herself on the couch. It loosened the mood to see her act as if this were her home. The hostess leant her shoulder on the between the partition between the den and the kitchen area.
"Thanks Angel." she replied, "I am not sure when the guys are coming over. I was under the impression that there was some male bonding that had to be done first."
The soft bubbling of the chili was heard from where they were lounging. Emily's eyes stared intently for what Leah would answer for Angel's remark about not attending tonight's event. It took her by surprise to watch her cousin not verbally attack this girl. Utterly amazing. BUT when Leah actually spoke more than a yes or no word to her... that was literally the first time since meeting Sam she'd actually addressed her. Was there something funky with the La Push water?
"Oh I am making chili," she said while looking her cousin in the eyes, "plus there's going to be chips, biscuits, cole slaw... the works. I am sure there's enough food here for a small army."

Embry hadn't actually been with the pack this evening. No. He had been with Daphne. Yep, his vampire girlfriend. That beautiful girl he had managed to imprint on that stormy stormy night. Down by the zoo. Where everything turned his world upside down, and inside out--but he didn't bother to mind. This was just all perfect. At least, thats what he thought when he had been with her earlier this evening. Until he remembered there was the pack dinner tonight at Emily's house.
So of course, right now? He was struggling to get Daphne's scent off himself. He took a shower, he changed his clothes, but that hadn't done any good. Swearing repeatedly beneath his breath, he was praying silently that there would be too many people there to really pay notice to that sometimes sickening sweet smell. One quite the opposite of his own. At least, with Daphen's comparison.
Busy wiping the lip gloss from his mouth, he was messing with the leather jacket he was wearing over the white muscle shirt--sleeveless per usual. His jeans were roughed up and ragged, a hole in the left knee, and many many grass 'n mud staines. With that loose black metal chain around his neck, a cross hooked towards the bottom. Daphne had purchased it for him. Their initials engraved on the back of the cross--
Hands shoved in his leather jacket pockets, he smelled the delicious food cooking from miles away, and had to control himself not to wolf out and run the rest of the way. But when he finally reached her door, which he knew to be open, Embry turned the handle and walked on in. Not realizing none of the other guys were here yet, or that he was early. Not remembering the guys had, indeed, plans they were going to handle before they came for dinner.
But Embry had been with Daphne all day...he had forgotten...so this was a first, of Embry Call actually being on time.
"Em? Sam?" He called out, making his way to the kitchen. Noticing the small girl gathering, he pulled on a painted grin to his face. Begging these girls not to notice that vampire smell he managed to get smothered in this evening, "Where're the guys?" Speaking to Emily, but with a voice that spoke he didn't mind who answered.

Emily had gotten used to the pack member walking in an out of her house without warning. It made things easier to leave it unlocked. So the sound of someone else coming into the house was partly expected. She pushed her hair out of her face and behind her ears when she heard Embry call for her and Sam.
"Hey." she greeted with a smile. "I don't know where they are. Its not normal for them to miss a meal."

Sabrina smiled as Angel entered. "Hey Angel. What's up?" Her smile returned after it had faded when Leah came in. She flipped her hair over her shoulder and repositioned herself. Sabrina was really surprised that Leah was actually talking to Angel and being nice.
She looked down at her nails while waiting for Angel’s answer and wondered when everyone else was coming.

Angel rested her head on Leah's shoulder, and said, "Oh I've been good. Just the same thing, trying to keep the grades up while doing wolfy stuff." She said looking at Embry when he walked in. No else had come in, and was glad because it is getting very warm in here. SHe looked at Emily when she said chili. Her best recipe was chili, and Angel loved it.
"Hey Embry! How have you been?" She asked looking at him with curious eyes. "SO whats up with the male bonding thing?" She asked. They had all the time to male bonding. She looked at Leah and played with her hair. "Leah how do you get your hair so soft?" She asked. She had never felt hair so soft. Angel patted the set next to her for anyone to sit next to her. Mostly for Embry, but anyone of them could sit next to her.

Smiling at the rest of the company, he acknowledged all of them, before noticing Angel wanted somebody to take the seat beside her. So he did, "Male bonding?" He questioned. What the hell was that supposed to mean? Had there been some ritual or some party with the boys that he'd been unaware of? Had there been a meeting...? No, that's not possible. Because the girls were here. Leah, Sabrina, Angel...if there had been something like that he'd be by himself.
That's when it clicked. And his eyes widened, "Oh sh*t" He breathed, "Oh sh*t" The second time it was a bit more intense. There had been something today. The boys had planned something important! VERY important! Sam had made sure that all the guys were aware that this was mandetory. He wasn't going to force everyone to come, he had given the wolves the respect of having the freedom to come on their own. However, it was merely inclined that there really wasn't a choice in the matter.
He'd been with Daphne all day...not the boys...Sam was going to shred his ass!
