He has spent his entire day being locked up in the likes of his office, even at the hospital. There wasn't too many appointments, and only one surgery. Which wasn't fairly normal for an average day, more then likely there'd be much more. But it wasn't as if he was complaining, it would give him the possibility of getting home to his beloved wife and family much sooner.
And just the passing thought of his precious Esme brought that handsome smile to his face. He let his pen still on the paper, and his beautiful wife's name left his lips in the most loving way. He was addicted to everything she was, and all that she could ever be. Everything about her pulled him in, and kept him going. He couldn't imagine how he lived so many years without her by his side, and right now all he craved was her presence. Not even blood could surpass his desire for that gorgeous woman.
When his assitant nurse came in the door, speaking of how she would be taking off for the day, Carlisle gave her a kind smile, "Thank you, Katherine. See you tomorrow." She nodded, gave him a quick goodbye, and quickly left. With one more appointment to deal with, his shift would finally be over, and he'd be home to his family.
Just after dealing with that broken leg, he put up his white floor length coat, and draped it over his swerving chair. Locking up the client folders, and putting away other tools 'n things, he locked his office door, giving a wave off to those he passed by.
The ride home was fairly short, and as he parked his car in the garage, he swiftly ran his fingers upon the velvet of the wheel, before he patted his baby goodevening. Getting to the door, he flicked off the lights, tucked the car keys into his jean pocket, and opened the door. Sensing his family, he smiled. Knowing he didn't need to call out, he simply went into the loft, waiting for their company. [/blockquote]

Once again, Rosalie had managed to spend the better part of her day in front of the mirror. It all started when she woke up feeling incredibly bored. She had been planning on a shopping trip in Seattle, but the forecast said it was sunny down there. Of course that killed everything. So she did the next best thing - try to improve her already perfect appearance. It was a game that she'd started over the past few weeks, when she exiled herself to her room. After finding a hairstyle she'd pick and outfit to go with it. After her hair and clothes were together, she'd admire her reflection until she got bored. Then she'd start all over again.
Today she decided to have fun with a sporty look. The style called for wet hair, so Rosalie took a quick shower. Her wavy blonde locks hung down past her shoulders, soaked and ready to be styled. She put the front part of her hair into sixteen little french braids, then she twisted half of the back up into a fancy knot. The other half hung down her back, loosely curled. Rosalie's outfit of choice was a pale blue cami and black leggings. It all worked together very nicely. Smirking, Rosalie looked down at the picture of the model in the magazine. I look so much better! Poor human. If Alice could break any ballerina's heart, then Rosalie would surely break any model's.
The sound of the front door opening pulled Rosalie's attention away from her reflection. A small smile crossed her face as she walked out into the hallway. Rosalie padded down the stairs gracefully. "Hello Carlisle." A small part of her was worried that he'd have something to say about her lack of communication with the rest of the family. Still, she was happy to see him.

Esme hummed a small tune to herself as she ran a brush through her long brown hair. She smiled as she laid the brush down then ran a hand through her hair. It was sad to know that if she decided to cut her hair it would never grow back. She changed from just capri's and a t-shirt to a small, light blue sun dress. That's when she heard Carslisle drive up. Her smile got a little wider as she made her way downstairs gracefully. As her bare feet hit the floor soundlessly, she could also hear Rosalie downstairs.
Esme made her way to her husband and kissed him softly on the cheek before slipping her hand in his and standing beside him. She was positive everyone in her family would want to see Carslisle. Her light blue eyes drifted from her husbands handsome features to her daughters beautiful ones. She wondered where her family was at, already having an idea of where Edward was at. He wanted to be with Bella and no one was going to stop him. Obviously he loved Isabella or else he wouldn't have asked her to marry him but sometimes she wondered if Bella returned his love. Of course she does. Do you see the way she looks at him? It reminded her of when she had first married Carslisle. She wondered how such a strong, handsome and caring man wanted to save her from such a terrible fate and decide to give her a new life. One with him and her children. 'Well adopted' children.

Almost to the chair, it was then that one of his daughters came down the stairs. Her choice in outfit was fairly interesting, and with the way she held herself it was definitely fitting. Always with the capability of knowing she was beautiful, too which she was. Sometimes however, she thought of herself a bit too much. But Carlisle never thought too much of it, because it just might lead to something slipping out, and he'd get in trouble. Either by Emmett, or by the daughter herself, "Rosalie" He smiled. It was in quick step that his beloved wife came down. With a kiss to his cheek, her hand slid into his, and within moments his mouth was on hers. Something tender, loving. smiling against the kiss. Pulling away shortly he looked into her eyes whispering, "You missed." If there was one person he missed most of all it was Esme. And Carlisle was one to always show it.
Pulling away casually, he smiled up at his daughter, very very glad to finally be home, "Where's Emmett?" Usually that boy of his was all over Rosalie...especially on days like this when that girl was trying out a variety of outfits. Sadly, Carlisle was aware of how those two played. How they spent their nights, the time when they had nothing else to do but be with eachother....Ever since that day though, when Emmett nearly got his arms ripped off from thinking about touching Edward's Cd's, Carlisle hadn't seen much of him.
Edward, indeed, was spending time with Bella. Carlisle didn't mind a bit. As long as his boy was careful, it was what Edward needed. Finally someone who was loving his son that he was loving back. The spike in happiness, the fact that now Edward was actually smiling, playing, teasing with the rest of their family, it was constantly bringing a smile to his face. Because now all of them had somebody to care for, and all were exponentially happier with eachother.

A shiny volvo could be seen speeding through the night. Trying to block out the voices in his head, his own this time, Edward concentrated on the road. His eyes, usually topaz, were a few shades darker. He added 'going hunting' to the list of things he had to rememeber to do. He had just come from being with Bella, the one girl who could make him forget he was a vampire. She was his drug, and he was addicted to her. Quite literally too. Her scent was unlike any other, and he could pick it out from miles away. It was intoxicating. But that didn't stop him from wrapping his arms around her and holding her, for hours on end. He loved her, and she loved him just as much.
There was a stillness about the night, like it was waiting, watching for something to happen. But he was used to it, and it gave him time to think about things without other people's voices inside his head for a change. Edward usually kept to himself, but the last few days were busy with wedding talk. Yes, Edward Cullen was getting married. To add to it, he was getting married to Bella Swan. In a town like Forks, big news traveled fast. But he didn't mind, considering it was one of his conditions to Bella's demand. She wanted to become one of them, a Vampire. But he had made it so they would be married first, and then he would turn her himself. Turning Bella wasn't the only thing he had to worry about. But as soon as he did it, he would be breaking an old pack with the Quilets. That alone would be like adding gasoline to a fire.
But Edward had had this conversation over and over again with Bella, but she was sticking to what she wanted. That was one of the thiings that he loved and hated about Bella. It was put to good use for some things, but times like these it was bad. No matter though, he still loved her. As he pulled off onto the dirt road, he sped up. Not long after, he was pulling into the driveway and shutting off the engine. He took a moment to gather his thoughts, and then went inside. Edward made his way inside, instantly knowing that his family was home, just by the chatter of voices. Voices he had learned to tune out most of the time. But tonight he didn't bother.
"Hello Carlisle, Rosalie, Esme," he said as he sat down swiftly. "Where's Emmett, Jasper, and Alice?" he asked, curiosity getting the better of him. Already knowing soem of the answers, he still asked. He knew how they hated sometimes when he told them what they were thinking before they got a chance to say it themselves. In the light, you could definitely see that he was in need of a hunt.

Sitting in her room, a small sigh came from the girls pale lips, as she just stared out the window, the view was of the backyard, it was lovely, of course, with Esme taking care of it, it would look grand. Alice had a lot on her mind lately, the fact that about every minute she was checking on the Volturi's, making sure that they weren't on their way here, plus there was the wedding that she was planning and she knew that she was a bit of a crab to some, especailly her Jasper, because she never really took time for herself to go out and feed to keep herself the bouncy little pixie like vampire that she is.
Alice raised an eyebrow as a person came into her mind, a slight smile went across her lips, as her head turned towards the bedroom door and heard the voice coming from down below, it was Edward. He must of gotten back from being with Bella which was where Edward spent a lot of his time at, not that she was complaining or anything either. Alice knew that Edward was the one who was the most secure about Bella, more than any of the other Cullen residences.
Deciding to head on down to see the faces of her family, she got up from her bed and made her way through the hallway, though, no sound came from her feet as they went across the ancient floorboards and down the staircase, she gave a small smile as she reached the living room, where the family was to be "Such a silly question to ask anyone, Edward." she teased him a bit. Her eyes went towards his and saw that they were of a darker color, most likely the same as Alice was to be at the moment, she knew she was due to go hunting, but it was something she didn't want to do unless she really needed too.

Edward turned as he saw his sister coming towards them. If it hadn't been for his ability to hear other's thoughts, he would have never even heard her come in. Alice was graceful like that, not to mention she was well balanced. "Alice," he velvet voice added, a thin smile spreading across his lips. "Where have you been hiding?" he asked, although yet again he already knew the answer. He noticed that her eyes were darker as well. At least he would have someone with him, not that he went alone though. He offered the seat next to him if she decided to sit down. Now that she had shown up, there was still two Cullens unaccounted for.
Edward turned back to Rosalie. "Do you know where Emmett is?" he asked, flashing a grin. He glanced around the room, noticing for the first time that Carlisle and Esme were hand in hand. It wasn't unusual for them, their love for each other growing faster and deeper every day. "How's Jasper doing and where is he?" he asked Alice, making conversation. It didn't look like much conversation was going on at the moment. Leave it to him to try and get one started.

In three quick steps Rosalie reached the couch. Seconds after she sat Esme came down the stairs. The golden haired vampire felt a genuine smile dancing its way across her lips as she watched Carlisle plant a kiss on Esme's cheek. It always made her happy to see them together. They were so perfect for each other. Words really couldn't describe how much she loved her 'parents'. She smiled a greeting a Esme before feigning interest in the threads of the couch, losing herself in thought.
Carlisle's question distracted her momentarily. "I'm not sure," she replied softly. The smile on her face was replaced by a small frown. She had been wondering the same thing. I haven't talked to him in awhile. Rosalie had to admit that it was partially her fault, with the whole anti-social attitude that she'd taken to lately. It seemed like Edward and Bella's upcoming wedding was bringing everyone closer. Except for Rosalie and Emmett.
Sighing, Rosalie looked down at the couch again. Her thoughts drifted to ideas for the wedding plans. She was proud of herself for finally offering to help, even if she wasn't doing it for all the right reasons. Rose barely noticed it when Edward came into the room. "Edward." She returned his greeting in an emotionless voice. "Hi, Alice" she added as her short, pixie-like sister entered the room. "No Edward, I haven't seen much of Emmett or Jasper lately." I haven't seen much of anyone, really. She added silently.

Alice nodded a bit, as she took the seat down next to Edward, she gave a small smile towards Rose, Esme and Carlisle as well. Her eyes went back towards Edward and gave a small shrug, certain events that had to deal with Alice and Jasper both were approaching soon, and she tried her best to see what Jasper was doing, but she had a feeling that Jasper was keeping something from her and she wasn't liking it at all "I have no idea, Edward.." a small sigh came from her lips as she looked away from the boy and just stared down at the floor in front of her.

Edward listened to what his family said and thought. Just becasue they didn't say it, didn't mean he couldn't hear it. But he thought it odd that no one had seen or heard from Jasper and Emmett. He would make a mental note to check on them later. But right now, there was an issue that had to be resolved. "Don't worry Rosalie, I'm sure he'll be fine," he said, his lips moving too fast for humans to hear. It wasn't like he did that on purpose, it was his natural speed of talking. He had to constantly remind himself in front of Bella that when he wanted her to hear something, he had to slow it down and speak up. She didn't have the ability to keep up with them, yet. "And Alice, don't worry about it. I'll talk to him when I see him, and maybe I can find out what's wrong," he said as he flashed her a smile.
He wished Bella was here, so he could just hold her. But then he thought that Rosalie and Alice might feel a little out of place with him and Bella together. Rosalie wasn't that fond of Bella, but he could tell they were working on it. He turned his attention back to the rest of his family. "Well I know that I have to go hunting again. Judging by Alice's eyes, so does she. So we need to take another hunting trip soon. I was tempted by Bella in the forest earlier, and I almost lost control. Will anyone else be joining us?" he asked, meaning him and Alice.

The golden haired beauty hoped that Emmett would come soon. It was true that she'd been a bit preoccupied over the past few days, so now she really missed him. Sighing softly Rosalie looked down at her marble hands. Normally she wasn't one to fidget, but a lot of things were changing lately. Rosalie was still a bit shocked at all of this. Even though it'd been about a year, it seemed like much less time since the day that Edward and Bella met. Now they were getting married! It was all overpowering, and too much to think about.
A trace of a wicked thought danced through Rosalie's mind. It was hard, but she managed to push it away before it could truly surface. She knew that Edward would have been furious with her if he'd heard it. The time where he left Bella was something that the Cullens rarely talked about. When it came to Edward, thinking about it was just as bad. Rosalie was pulled out of her thoughts when Edward spoke to her. He had been so nice lately, she almost felt guilty. "I think I should accompany you," she said softly in response to his question. Rosalie didn't need to go hunting yet, but it was better to be safe these days.
