Animals, they were such interesting creatures, some were weak ones and others were as strong as, well, herself. Daphne always did love a chanllenge when it came to her meal, she'd usually go after the grizzly bears, she kind of grew fond of the way their blood taste, of course, she needed something to keep her away from attacking a human, it was a long-drawn out process that she was working on, so far, she hasn't attacked and/or killed a single human since she was turned to animal blood.
Today, it was another over-cast, thankfully, or else, she'd be in some trouble walking around the zoo, not as if there was a lot of people here, but she hoped the sun wouldn't pop-out anytime soon, that was all she needed, more people gawking at her because her skin shimmers and glitters when the sun hits it. She had learned what would happen if she was to ever get exposed for who she truely was, it was a thought she didn't want to ever think about.
Thus, a sigh came from her pale lips, as she started to pass along the area where some bears should be at. Daphne came to a stop as she stood there in front of the railing that was in front of a fence. She leaned herself gently agains the railing, staring at a baby bear that stayed closed to it's mother side. A small smile came to her lips, as she watched the pair of them travel around their little area.

Seems all he had to do with his day was take a trip down to Seattle. Something about the area was just calling to him, and he really didn’t understand why. There was supposedly going to be a pack meeting today, and Embry should probably stay behind to deal with that—and of course he’d show up later, but being late was of little importance at the moment. He needed time away from his dad, his mother, that life. Being what he was? The creature he was born to be? He loved it. Of course he did, but being a wolf also had its downside. And right now all those disastrous thoughts were coursing through his mind. So hence his need to break away, just for a little bit, a little while. And where better to go then the Woodland Park Zoo?
Embry was definitely a guy who could take in nature, and its inhabitants. The smell of an animals living may be revolting to humans, or to some leeches, but to him it was more like a home. It was similar to the beast he was, the creature his father made him. Sure, the history claims it to be because of the blood suckers, with bloodsuckers in the area the werewolf in their clan was triggered…but Embry himself wouldn’t necessarily be one unless his father hadn’t been one himself. And sometimes this young man regretted being alive, because he couldn’t really get close to too many people. Not with being the way he was.
In roughed up jeans, with holes in the left knee, and ripped up edges at the bottom—Embry sported some simple black boots, and a Metalicca T-shirt. It was small enough so that the well formed muscles were expertly shown, similar to a sculpture, or a engineered painting. One of the perks of this whole ‘Wolf’ thing. His dark hair was roughed, and with a newly fresh cut he looked a bit more clean-shaven then Jake himself. Not that his best friend had really been keeping tabs with his looks…ever since losing Bella that guy had started to lose his cool.
It was just as he made it past the tigers den, when a sickly sweet smell grabbed hold of his senses. Body going instantly still, usually he’d feel rage and disgust—and of course he did—but this was different…a vampire was here…but, something was wrong. He wanted to get closer. Oh heaven forbid, he wanted to find her.
Wait, her? How’d he know it was a girl? What’f it was a guy?
Shaking his head, he stopped thinking of the consequences, and immediately began moving again. Pushing past people, giving quick Sorry’s if he ran into them, but he was going forward. Speeding around corners, the scent of that woman was filling him. It was burning his entire body, but he couldn’t help but want closer. This wasn’t how he reacted to the Cullens. What was wrong? Why did he want to find her? Why was he so sure it was a her?
And when he saw her, through the rugged crowd, his breath left him. His racing heart still, and the color in his eyes brightened. It was a curse stronger than cupids arrow. It was a flame in his skin that wasn’t at all deemed natural. A desire that enslaved him that would never leave. She was a vampire. He was a werewolf…but why did it seem like that didn’t matter?

It was good that she had already fed the night before, or else, coming here to the zoo would have been a disater just waiting to happen, plus, her eyes were their brillant butterschot/golden color. Daphne could slightly remember her eyes once bore a brillant blue, but that was a long time ago, a time she missed and it was disappearing slowly from her mind, it was something she hated--she'd give anything to just remember what her family looks like, or to even remember if she ever had one at that.
The sound of their blood pumping through their body, caused an amused look to come across her face ooh..it is a good thing i am not hungry.. she thought to herself, because as she looked towards a small plaque a few feet away from her, she could see that they were indeed grizzly bears, a favorite of her's.
Daphne finally pushed herself away from the railing, she was starting to get bored with the animals, none of them was doing anything of interest today but, of course, it was a gloomy day, why would the animals want to be all rambuctious and excited on such a day like this. To her, she was just surprised at the amount of people that actually occupied the place.
Shaking her head a bit, she turned on her heel, getting ready to head back off in the direction she came from, when a breeze went brushing past her, causing a scent to go through her nostril, it caught her attention right away, as her eyes went right towards a guy, who was only a few feet away from her. The scent was sickly, but had a sweet side to it, a sweetness that was running through it's body. Daphne wanted to be near it, but why did she..from the scent and the looks of it, she could tell right away it was a werewolf.
Daphne merely stood there in her spot, contemplating what to do, should she just turn away, pushing the thought and guy out of her mind, or press on and walk towards him. But for a vampire and werewolf to conversate with one another--and possibly not want to tear one another a part...it was insane..this was insane.
Daphne herself was going insane not being closer to the guy, but she felt frozen in her spot.

She noticed him. Holy hell, she noticed him! Dangit, now Embry truly had no possible way out of this predicament. If Jacob or Sam saw where he was right now, what he was doing, and how he was handling? They’d probably rip him to shreds, or beat him senseless—like his father. Oh lord, thank the gods his father wasn’t here. That’d be worse then Sam’s orders. Her scent was so strong, so blinding, his eyes were practically watering, but he wasn’t able to move away from her. Embry only wanted to get closer, never let her out of his sight, and it’d be horrible if by some horrid chance something happened to her. Why’d he care? He didn’t even know her name? Where she came from, or who she was?
Swallowing, he could’ve hoped she wouldn’t tell what creature he was—but by that dark spark in her golden eyes he knew instantly she did. He went closer anyway, until he was but a foot away. He didn’t know what to say, or how to play this cool. Normally he could flirt away, and have the time of his life with almost any, and every, situation. Unless he was frustrated, confused, or worried…right now? He was all three. And Embry knew he shouldn’t be.
This was the time for calm and collection, not anger and stress. Not this stupid imprinting---Wait wait wait wait wait!!! Hold on a blasted minute! Imprinting? Imprinting??? No, no no no no. It couldn’t be. It was impossible! Werewolves didn’t imprint on vampires! It should be something in their blood, the DNA. The natural order of things! Embry hadn’t imprinted on a vampire girl!
Then why couldn’t he shake the feeling that maybe he did?
“Embry” His voice deep, rugged. He refrained from calling her the ‘leech’ she was, and strangely held out his hand, just towering over her, “My name is Embry.”
That’s it.
Jacob was going to murder him. In his sleep…or worse, wide awake. End of story. Then end. Embry dies.

If she was to of had a heart, she would of felt it flutter and possibly even stop a few times, as she noticed he started to make his way closer to him, it definately caused to her to stop breathing and she hoped the people passing by didn't notice that she wasn't breathing and looked like a statue just standing there, frozen within her spot.
As he stood only about a foot away, she couldn't help but to take in his scent, it was intoxicating to her, the sound of his blood running through his veins was driving her mad. This was all just completely and utterly insane and impossible to her. Never in her life had she ever heard or even seen of a vampire and werewolf being this way with one another. If a vampire or werewolf were every to only just be within a mile radius of one another, they'd go crazy and want to tear the other into shreds.
Daphne couldn't figure out what it was..but something about him made her want to be held within his arms, and for him to never let her go, god she hoped no other vampires were out and about at the zoo, or even any other werewolves at that--she knew the two of them would be in some horrible trouble.
"Daphne.." she replied softly, as she reached out slowly, taking a hold of his hands and shaking it. She felt herself staring up into the guys eyes, her hands still held onto his and she didn't want to let go either.

Her skin against his was ice cold, and the moment she grabbed his hand he trembled, even so—a groan escaped his throat…and no, it wasn’t on purpose. The contrast was almost painful, but he was delighting in the sting. And with Daphne’s fingers clutching his hand, he felt as if he’d never be able to let go of her—as if she wouldn’t let him leave, like she just froze the both of them in that single space…and he wouldn’t care. The pack would care, his father would care, but he wouldn’t…Ok, so in some instances he just might…but in this one?
He wasn’t paying attention to anybody else passing by. He could simply smell that they were staring, looking at the odd couple. It was as if the normal humans could sense that their relation shouldn’t be possible. Vampires and werewolves shouldn’t be able to withstand even being within a mile of eachother, let along a foot. Embry didn’t even like knowing the Cullens were in the next town over, so why was this seemingly so fine?
“Y-you know what I am…right?” Being hesitant, his head knew she knew. But for some reason Embry needed to hear her say it out loud. Maybe he was trying to let her realize that he was what he was, that she should run away. Not that he would actually let her leave…but still…that was a different story all on its own.

Daphne forced herself to remove her hand from his hand, placing it down at her side, she knew it would be rude to just stare at someone, but she just couldn't help but to stare at the boy infront of her, she taken in by him..in some way and she didn't know why or how.
Hearing his next words, she froze for a moment, of course, he knew what she was, but did he truely know that she knew what he was, then again, she most likely had a feeling he did, but if the two of them knew of what the other was, then why were they being the way they were towards one another, why weren't they ready to fight, to tear each other a part? This was something that was confusing her and she wanted to know why this was happening..
She gave a him a simple nod, trying to find her voice once more, but when she spoke, her voice was still soft and quiet "I do know what you are. Just like I know you know what I am.." Daphne took a small step towards him, so that they were only a few inches away from one another, she took in a breath, taking in his scent, letting it course through her--it made her cringe, but more-so, it drove her wild.

He feared she’d say that. Even worse? She got closer. And he liked it. But he stiffened. Some parts of his body were starting to shake, the confusion of this whole situation was starting to make him go a bit rigid, but he was doing his best to keep himself in line. He wasn’t going to wolf out like this. Not here. Not now. Not in front of all these people, and most importantly not in front of her. Embry noticed her take in his scent, and the look that passed over her face nearly sent him into a pleasurable spin. She looked sexy like that, beautiful---
He wasn’t supposed to think that way! Embry should possibly be stopping himself, which is why the next words came out of his mouth, “We shouldn’t be doing this…” Knowing that he wouldn’t be able to have it any other way. And even though he just met her, he had the damndest desire to take her all in. Kiss her, hold her, make her his. In all the ways possible. No other man was going to touch her. Nothing else would ever harm her. He was going to protect, and he wouldn’t be able to stay away from her.
Was this how Sam felt? Towards Emily? How Quill felt, in a sense, towards that little girl? This pull to always be close to them? Help them? Save them? Be their protector? Daphne’s protector? Even though he could tell, just by the look of her, that she could defend herself. But none of that really mattered at the moment.
“…this shouldn’t be happening…” His pleading voice continued. Wavering with his body’s want to press his mouth passionately on hers. Everything about the way he was positioned was opposite his words. He wanted her, it showed. Even his brain was complying, the wolf in him was crying! Crying in every possible way a wolf could cry! How could a vampire be doing this to him? How could anything or anyone, especially this girl, be confusing him?

His pierced at her like someone had just stabbed her, if she was able to feel the pain of someone stabbing her, but she felt it, it pinged her, it caused her to cringe. Those words she didn't want to hear, but she knew he was right, this wasn't suppose to happen, a vampire and werewolf weren't suppose to be this way with one another. Daphne should have just walked away, turned away, never looked back--but she didn't.
A small sigh came from her lips, as she torn her eyes away from him and down towards the ground, she had to think this through--why was this happening? But, she couldn't get a real answer from it, she was lost..confused, disturbed, but yet, she didn't want to leave, she didn't want to move away from his side. She wanted to be right here with him and no where else.
Daphne found her voice once more, though, she didn't want to speak, didn't want to ruin this moment, even if they were to just stand in silence, staring at one another, it was wonderful "You're right..." she gave a small nod, as her eyes looked back up towards him once more "This shouldn't be happening...This is..." she stopped for a moment and bit at her bottom lip some "this is insane..." she shook her head a bit.

Insane. Insane? The word echoed in song through his mind. Silently dancing upon his tongue, tingling inside his chest. This was insane, the purest insanity. All of this, the whole entire situation was pure and utter horror. In some mind, fantasy. In his DNA its encoded to hate these creatures, the kind that was standing before him. So how did she manage to slide past the natural order?
All this thinking? All this thought and knowledge of how impossible this circumstance was? Wasn't going to get them anywhere. It wouldn't do a darn thing. So it was in the very second he let his thoughts hesitate, and something happened. Something never deemed even possible. Embry's hands went up and cupped Daphne's face, and as if they were upon a movie screen....
Wind picked up and began to howl, the clouds above rumbled with raged denial, lighting cracked--lighting the sky. He leaned forward, coming down, on cue the droplets of began to fall, and the humans around him began to scream--yelp, cry for some jackets, some cover...but his lips were on hers. Mouth on her mouth. And he felt something inside him exlode. A fire erupted so intense his eyes began to water. Ice so hard, sharp and chill it nearly froze him in what could only be a frost bite no human could withstand. He was thrusted into a whirlwind of pleasure, shock, and confusion.
The Earth was crying in protest.
Embry didn't care!

Daphne stood there, waiting for something else to come from the other's mouth, but the longer she stood there silent, the longer nothing came from his lips. It was driving her crazy, she wanted to be held within his arms, for him to hold her as if there was to be no tomorrow, no tomorrow for either of them, but if this kept it, the two of them would never seen a tomorrow.
Suddenly, she felt his warm hand upon her face, though, it did nothing to warm her face, but she could feel the warmth that came from the hand, she felt herself melt on the inside, she froze instantly at his touch, not knowing what to do or even what to say. Hearing the thunder, and then the lighting, it caused her to give off a blink.
The next thing she knew, his warm lips were pressed to her's and she heard screams--at first, she thought it was because of the two of them, then she remembered, no one around them knew of what the two of them actually were. Daphne wanted to pull away, but she couldn't--she just let herself give in, moving in closer to him, and she slinked her arms around him, deepening the kiss, as she felt the rain pour down onto her cold skin.

He hadn't understood what happened to him, why this call was so strong. Why he had possibly imprinted on a vampire, but it had happened. He was liking it. And he wasn't allowing this to stop. The second his mouth touched hers something was set free inside him, something unlocked. Unhinged, and Embry wasn't tying himself back up. He just met the girl, but he felt as if he'd known her forever.
His right hand slid into her hair, tangeling at the back, the other finding its way down her back to her slim waist. Sliding it around her, she was pulled against him, closer--harder. Before he knew it, he groaned--the sound mixing with a ram of thunder, the crack of lightning. It was only a matter of seconds before the storm was completly drenching them, but he wasn't cold...no where near it.
Embry turned her, pressing her back against the nearest railing. It probably wasn't comfortable, but it was base to start from. Something to hold the both of them up. He broke away for a moment, rushing to grasp a lungfull of air--seeing as he still needed it--and he looked into her eyes. The wild excitement was loud, screaming, and too much to ignore. He was kissing her again, harder--faster, inbetween the small breaks, "push...me....away...." This had to stop, this wasn't natural. If anybody knew these two had just met, or what they were, they'd be disgusted.
Parents were probably already disgusted at the intense seen that lay before their children, right here in the zoo...but that was smallest of concerns, compared to the extremity of the law these two had just broken.

Knowing this was wrong, completely wrong--Daphne couldn't help but to continue at it; in some ways, it felt right, as if this is the way it should be. The two of them not wanting to rip each others throats out or not be able to stand to be within a mile of each other because of the smell that came from the two of them--noo, the way the two of them were right now, was the way she knew it should be. But Daphne knew it was wrong.
Feeling him pull her closer to her, caused her to deepen the kiss between the two of them. A slight grin spread across her lips, as she heard the groan come from within the other, at the same time a roar of thunder appeared in the sky. Her back went pressed up against a railing, she hoped that she was pressed up against it to hard, with the force of her body and his strenght, the two put together would surely crush the metal in a matter of seconds, but the thought slipped away from her mind as soon as he pulled away and looked right into her eyes.
Thus, they were kissing again, in between she could hear him speak some words, they were honest words and she knew she needed to do so, but a big part of her didn't want to push him away--but would it actually be the best for them. Daphne let out a small sigh as she pushed him away from her, leaving at least a foot between the two of them.
Daphne stood there, staring towards him, if she had the need to breathe, she'd be breathless right now, and if her heart beat--it would surely be ready to burst from her chest. But to those by-passing, trying to get away from the rain, she was calm, she didn't look distressed or out of breath, though--her hair was starting to become matted to her face, as the rain continued to pour down.

His chest was heaving up 'n down. Unlike Daphne, he was one who actually needed to breathe. And his originally speeding heart was about to explode from his chest. He wasn't able to calm himself down, not that he was really trying. Everything about this whole entire situation was wrong, ironic, sick, wonderful, strange--perfect...every single word could describe this relation in one way or another.
His eyes were locked on her golden ones. Constantly licking his lightly swollen lips, "y-you..." Closing his eyes, Embry took a shaky deep breath. His hand actually had to out stretch and wrap around the close railing, He was indeed leaning against his. Suddenly he felt as if the world was spinning, the air around him was tightning. He was having difficulties actually getting enough air. What was happening to him? What was going on?
Leaning over a bit, he was swallowing constantly. This was so wierd. This wasn't normal, was it? Embry knew these symptoms. He had gone through it before. When he pulled himself off cigarettes. Withdrawal. A sweat was upon his brow, slicking into his hair, down his neck, "G-god..." Was this consequence for kissing a vampire? Had the moment he touched her lips, had he been poisoned? Maybe it was her venom, maybe it wasn't...maybe it reacted differently in him then it would a human...who cares, he didn't. Ok, he did. Why the hell couldn't he calm himself down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Watching the scene unfold in front of her, she started to worry about the guy--he seemed like he was actually having trouble breathing, it caused Daphne to wonder if she actually bit him in the process of their kissing, but she was for sure she didn't. She knew that if she did, the werewolf would be lying there on the ground at her feet, death. That she knew for sure. So that took out to the theory that she bit him, but she couldn't figure out what was wrong with him.
Daphne just stood there for a moment, thinking things over, she watched him grab a hold of the railing, as if to use it for support. She started to notice, even though it was raining, but the rain was starting to die down, that he was sweating. Daphne gave a few blinks, she had no idea what to do, or even the fact what she had done--the only thing she really did know was that she wanted more of him, for their bodies to be pressed together again, for their lips to be on one another once more.
Deciding to just go for it again, Daphne pulled the boy towards her once more, pressing her lips hard against him. She pulled away from him for a moment, staring up at his eyes--right then and there, it clicked in her head, she needed this boy like he needed the air that he breathes, she couldn't deny it anymore. In some strange way, the two of them were meant to be for one another--even though their speices would never allow it, they knew they needed each other.
